Buckle for MOLLE Systems by MK Knives & Tools
MK Knives are typically equipped with a belt loop for carrying at the hip level. Knives mounted this way allow a certain degree of flexibility in movement. Moving through the forest or crouching by the campfire, the belt loop provides flexibility and adapts to human movement.
- But what if there’s a need for a tighter, more stable setup?
- What if the knife and sheath need to be closer to the body, minimizing extra movement, especially during rapid movement?
- What if the knife needs to be carried on a backpack or a tactical harness with MOLLE straps?
This is where the Buckle for MOLLE Systems comes in!
Easy to install after removing the standard belt loop, it grips two parts of the sewn MOLLE strap and securely holds the Kydex sheath in a stable manner. The two gripping parts are curved underneath to wrap around the strap, preventing unintentional release. The buckle provides an additional way to personalize how you carry your knife, just the way you like it.
Easy Choice For Carrying Method
The Buckle for Molle Systems is a solution that allows you to personalize and expand the ways you carry your equipment.
Material Of The Buckle
The buckle is made of hand-formed Kydex or Holstex materials. Both are known for their high impact resistance, scratch resistance, low moisture absorption, and resistance to various weather conditions and chemicals.
Compatibility
The buckle, used for belt carry positions, keeps the sheath higher and closer to the body compared to a textile loop. It allows for discreet carrying options based on personal preferences, offering vertical and horizontal positions on the belt.
The buckle is compatible with all MK Knives & Tools sheaths and can be used with Kydex/Holstex sheaths for fixed blade knives such as Crowbar, Rambler, Sentinel, Nomad, Scout, Claw, and Spike.
The buckle can also be used with sheaths from other manufacturers as long as the hole spacing is compatible.
Easy Installation
In case of MK Knives & Tools sheaths, the buckle is mounted by removing the previously installed textile loop module from the belt in the original set. To attach the buckle, use the screws that were removed during its detachment.

Buckle for MOLLE by MK Knives & Tools – Carrying Options

Buckle For MOLLE Type Sollution
Specifically designed for mounting on MOLLE system belts, it provides the ability to carry a sheath with a knife on components equipped with this solution. It is perfect for mounting on:
- Backpacks, allowing for the attachment of an additional or primary blade,
- Harness components,
- Pouches, waist pouches, organizers,
containing MOLLE-type straps.

Using the Buckle for Vertical or Horizontal Belt Carrying
In addition to using the buckle on backpacks or other gear with MOLLE straps, the buckle can be used for traditional knife carrying on a belt. This allows the sheath to be positioned higher than with a textile loop and closer to the body for maximum compactness. The knife can be carried more discreetly because the properly mounted buckle on the sheath allows for horizontal carry along the belt.

Belt Loop Carry
The standard belt loop enables flexible carry, which can be convenient when frequently changing work positions, such as moving from a standing to a squatting position, for example, at a campsite. When working in a squatting position, this type of loop allows for a greater range of motion, providing added comfort. This is especially important for larger knives and sheaths. However, considering the possibility of additional customization or the potential need to carry the knife on a backpack, a MOLLE system clip should be included among the equipment options as an optional accessory in such cases.
