Celebrating 20 Years of the Dutch Knife Exhibition

April 5, 2025, marked the 20th anniversary of the Dutch Knife Exhibition (DKE), which took place at the Expo Hall in Houten, just outside Utrecht in the Netherlands. The event brought together a wide range of knifemakers, knife brands, and companies from across the industry. Among them was MK Knives & Tools, represented by knifemaker and designer Marcin Kampka and his team.

Visitors to the show had the chance to get a close look at MK’s custom fixed-blade knives, as well as the production line of Ingeni folding knives.

Knife shows like DKE aren’t just about seeing products up close — though there’s definitely something special about being able to hold a knife in your hand and feel how it fits. They’re also about conversations, connections, and getting to meet the people behind the designs.

A Chance To Meet The Maker Behind The Brand

At this year’s show, fans of sharp edges had the opportunity to talk with Marcin Kampka himself, ask about the process behind his work, and learn more about the details that define MK Knives & Tools. For long-time supporters, it was a chance to finally meet the maker in person. And for many new faces, it was a first introduction to the brand.

New Product Series: Fear The Bear

The event was also the perfect occasion to debut the new Fear The Bear product series, which drew a lot of attention and will be heading to dealers soon. One of the biggest crowd-pleasers was a special edition of the Venn knife — created just for the show — featuring transparent handle scales that reveal the unique construction of the model underneath.

The excitement of DKE 2025 may have come and gone, but what stays with us are the great memories and the people we met. We’re already looking forward to next year’s edition — hope to see you there!
