This is how ‘Ingeni’ was born – the first folding knife from MK Knives & Tools, a project that combines passion, years of experience in knifemaking, and engineering knowledge. The result is a versatile everyday carry knife with a classic line but with the dynamic flair characteristic of the brand. Everyday Design Inspired by the Nomad Fixed Blade
The Ingeni folding knife is the result of years of development, inspired by MK’s popular fixed blade—the Nomad. Over time, its design has been refined to improve both ergonomics and performance, while staying true to the signature MK look.
As with all MK Knives & Tools projects, it’s not just about function—the Ingeni is also carefully shaped and finished to look great. Clean lines, smooth edges, subtle angles, and thoughtful color accents all reflect the brand’s design philosophy. Like other MK designs, it’s instantly recognizable and continues to evolve in pursuit of practical perfection.
Utility Blade, Premium Steel
The Ingeni features a classic drop point blade with a subtle swedge, making it versatile for everyday tasks. Jimping along the spine adds control for detail work, especially where pressure and grip matter.
The hollow grind used here is a custom MK twist—visually noticeable through fine grooves and carefully shaped to reduce material sticking to the blade. It’s subtle, but effective.
Made from premium tool steels like Vanadis 4 Extra or Elmax or other tyope of steels, the blade holds a sharp edge for a long time and resists wear and tear from hard use. These steels are known for their outstanding edge retention, durability, and strength.
Smooth Action, Rock-Solid Lock
The knife opens with a flipper tab, which also acts as a finger guard once the blade is deployed. Thanks to ceramic ball bearings, the opening is fast and smooth.
For safety, the Ingeni uses a frame lock—a strong, reliable locking mechanism made from the same titanium as the handle. It’s fitted with a steel insert to prevent wear and a ceramic detent ball to guide the blade during open and close. It’s a solid system built for long-term use.
Full Titanium Build with Clip and Backspacer
The handle is made entirely from titanium—lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant. It’s a top-tier material often used in high-end knives for its toughness and premium feel.
Everything is held together with stainless steel screws, matched in color to the rest of the design. The knife includes a pocket clip for secure carry in your pocket or pack, plus a titanium backspacer with a lanyard hole for added security.
